  • 3/171 Victoria Road, Drummoyne 2047

Despite my official address being Victoria Road, the roller door on Victoria Road is often not open. It’s best to enter via the Formosa Street car park entrance.

The best parking is also located at the back on Formosa Street where you will find plenty of free 2-hour parking.

Park in the car park and head up the big silver stairs. Head to the end of the hallway and you will find me behind the brown #3 door. The door is always unlocked when I am in there so please feel comfortable to head inside and sit on the couch.

  • With all tans, no matter how big or small the event is, I recommend getting your spray tan 2 days before your event. ie: if your event is on a Saturday, the best time to get a tan is on the Thursday before. This is because the tan needs 24 hours to develop and then settle on your skin to minimise transfer. If you can’t do 2 days out from your event, this is also fine, but 2 days is best.

  • Absolutely! The more the merrier!! We can also make it fun with some bubbles to drink so let us know :)

You can book your bridal party online via the bookings tab but if you’re having trouble please reach out so I can help you.

  • Enter my salon via the Formosa Street car park. You will find My Tanning Lady up the silver stairs and at the end of the hall, behind the brown #3 door. You will always be greeted with a warm hello by myself. We will sit on the couch together for your consults where we will have a chat about your skin type, your event, and your desired tan depth. I will always try to make you feel as comfortable as I possibly can as I know it can be quite overwhelming to meet someone new and then be half-naked in front of them. You will be involved in every decision and step along the way.

  • Dark loose clothing is always the best thing to wear to an appointment. Examples are weather-dependent however some outfit choices could be:

An oversized tee shirt with long loose pants or shorts. Or an oversized tee shirt dress.

PLEASE - nothing with straps or tight boob tubes as this will ruin your tan. NO active wear.

For winter, long, loose, baggy track or lounge pants with a light, loose and long-sleeved tee.

The inside of your clothes may get a little bit of cosmetic bronzer on them from the tan but it easily washes out in the wash.

  • Wear a smile!! We sadly can't control the weather, but what we can control is how we react to the sad news!

Take all these precautions necessary to ensure you leave the salon with your tan still intact.

    Park directly behind the salon.

Please wear light long sleeves and loose long pants if it looks like rain. Wear closed-in shoes such as Ugg boots or gum boots. Bring a big rain jacket and an umbrella.

We will always go that extra mile for you and walk you to your car after your appointment to ensure your tan is still flawless.

  • It is absolutely essential that you EXFOLIATE your entire body in the days leading up to your tanning appointment.

If you have an old fake tan on, I highly recommend Body Glow Australia’s retail range to remove your old tan and dead skin cells with ease.

Keeping your body hydrated by drinking lots of water and moisturising in the days leading up to your tanning appointment is imperative for a naturally beautiful spray tan that will last 7-10 days and fade evenly.

Laser hair removal should be done at least 4-5 days prior to your tanning appointment. Waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior. Shaving can be done 24 hours before.

Do NOT wash your hair right before or after an appointment as the residue left behind will ruin your tan.

  • On the day of your appointment, wash and lightly exfoliate your body in preparation for your spray tan.

Do NOT wash your hair before an appointment.

Please do NOT come to your appointment with any make-up, moisturiser, perfume and especially deodorant. All of these can affect the end result of your tan and turn your skin into a very undesirable colour.

  • My Tanning Lady is located at 3/171 Victoria Road, Drummoyne.

I always recommend clients park at the rear of the salon in the Formosa Street Carpark. We have plenty of free, 2-hour parking. Please allow extra time before your appointment to find a park as sometimes it can be busy.

Don't be shy to walk up the big silver stairs. Head to the end of the hallway and you will find me behind the brown #3 door. The door is always unlocked when I am in there, so please feel comfortable opening the door and come inside and sit on the couch.

  • You will always be greeted with a big warm smile and professionalism.

We start your session by discussing your natural skin tone, your desired tan depth, your past tanning experience (if any), your skin health and the reason why we are tanning you today.

You will always feel a part of the discussion and have the freedom to choose your end result.

During your tanning session, you will be offered disposables, however, you can choose to wear your own, or go completely nude, whatever feels most comfortable for you.

You're with me for a full 20-30 minutes of tanning and talking and you will leave feeling confident, bronzed and energised.

  • Do not put your bra back on. Avoid tight clothing and closed-in shoes as these will ruin your tan. Avoid exercising, washing dishes or coming into contact with water prior to your first shower.

Wait the number of hours discussed in your session before showering. LISTEN TO YOUR THERAPIST! Staying in your tan longer than your allocated time will result in an over-processed tan and you risk your tan turning orange!

During your first shower, use water only! Do not use any body wash or products. Start at the bottom of your legs and gently rub all the cosmetic bronzer off under warm running water. Don’t just stand under the shower head as you will get dribble marks down your tan and ruin the end result.

After your first shower, your tan will appear much lighter in colour. Don’t panic, this is completely normal and part of the process. Your tan will continue to develop and turn brown over the next 24 hours.

When you get out of the shower, pat dry with a towel. Do not rub!

  • To keep your tan looking as fresh as possible, for as long as possible, we recommend using Body Glow Australia's Body Wash. It cleanses and hydrates your body without stripping your natural pH levels or your tan.

Moisturise from the 2nd day onwards. We recommend Body Glow Australia's Body Milk. It nourishes your body, ensuring your skin is hydrated and your tan stays perfect!

Avoid soaking in baths, spas, saunas and pools. These will strip your tan down extremely quickly.

If you’re going on a holiday where you know you will be swimming, it’s recommended that you take a gradual tan away with you and reapply every 2 days to keep your tan looking fresh.

Your spray tan will not protect you from UV rays so always wear SPF 50+ sunscreen during sun exposure.

  • ANYONE!!! We are very inclusive here at My Tanning Lady and we believe spray tanning is for EVERYONE! We spray tan both women and men, all genders, ages and sexual orientations, all from different backgrounds and nationalities. You will always be treated with kindness and respect no matter who you are.

  • This is actually a really important one.

If you wash your hair on the day of your spray tan, you risk your shampoo and conditioner ruining your spray tan, especially if you’re a bride with an open-back dress.

It’s best to wash your hair a couple of days before your spray tan and ensure you exfoliate your skin and back leaving up to your appointment.

If you don’t want to wash your hair before a spray tan, you can wash your hair 2 days after your tan. Try to make it a quick wash as you don’t want to be in the shower too long.

You can always wash your hair upside down in the sink or bath to avoid ruining your tan.

  • YES! You should make sure your tan is covered with loose, long pants and a top so you can sit freely, without ruining your tan.
